Deception in the Church – More on End Time Prophecies

If time is coming to an end, what does this mean to the world and its inhabitants?

Sands of TimeThe bible tells us that it was only after the fall (the disobedience of Adam and Eve by eating fruit from the tree of knowledge which had been strictly forbidden by God) that God put a curse on the earth. The curse was entropy, the second law of thermodynamics and whereas prior to the fall because there was no sin neither was there decay and death. After the fall God put a curse on the earth this being entropy and death and decay began.
The first death occurred when an animal (probably a lamb) was slain and its skin given to Adam and Eve to cover their nakedness.
It is ironic that the first sin involved disobeying God by the eating of the fruit of knowledge, since then mans appetite for knowledge has been insatiable to a point where man is now heavily into biogenetics, genetic engineering, cloning etc. Where will it all end?

Jesus tells us that at the end of time He will cut those days short lest no flesh survive by returning to earth this time to reign as Lord of Lords and king of kings for a period of 1000 years.

When will time come to an end?

If we calculate the beginning of time from the sixth day of creation then God created man to the present we can calculate that it is approximately 6000 years, 4000 years before Christ and 2000 years since Christ.
Evolutionists tell us that the earth is somewhere between 9 million and 15 million years old some even put this figure into the billions but clearly these figures are plucked out of the air with no basis whatsoever.
Through the bible we can calculate time far more accurately. We do this through periods of time given in the bible whether these be for 40 years or 400 years and through genealogies including the genealogy of Jesus Christ through His mother Mary, Luke 3 and through His non biological father Joseph, Matthew 1.
So when will time come to an end?
We know from the bible that the exponential increase of sin throughout the ages will determine exactly when God will pour out His Roth on the world.
This period of time is known as the great tribulation a three and a half year period when things more terrible than ever before will occur on earth during this three and a half year period a charismatic man known as the antichrist or son of perdition will emerge and this man, the embodiment of Satan will do everything in his power to turn people against God, the creator of the universe.
Three billion will die during this three and a half year period from famine, plagues and war. The antichrist will force people to bear his mark and it is easy to see how with lazar or microchip and his will, will be enforced.
Those who bear the mark of the beast or antichrist will lose all hope of salvation. Those who refuse to bear his mark will be beheaded but if they refuse the mark of the beast because they are Christians, they will then have eternal salvation.
Jesus tells us that when the end comes, it will be as it was in the days of Noah.
In those days, sin was at an all time high and Noah was the only righteous man who found favour with god. When, using the measurements God gave him, Noah started to build the ark, people laughed at him and mocked him for building a boat in the desert where there had previously been no rain but when, eventually the heavens opened and rain poured down it was only Noah, his wife, his three sons and their wives who were saved from drowning.
There is much documentary evidence of the flood occurring throughout various nations of the world as far flung as South America and china.
Skeletons of whales have been discovered in caves 1000’s of feet above sea level, the evidence speaks for itself, the word of God is inerrant and true.
Just as Noah and his family were spared so Jesus tells us that we His Christian followers will also be spared from the great tribulation. Thessalonians 4v13 ‘but I do not want you to be ignorant brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and thus we will always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words’.

This is what Christians refer to as the rapture. The word rapture comes from the Latin rapio and from the Greek harpazo.

When Christians dies (the bible uses the term sleep) their spirit returns to the Lord and when the rapture occurs their bodies whether lying in a grave or cremated into ashes will reassemble and resurrect into an eternal body meeting the spirit of its owner in the air.

Deception in the Church

Although 1 Thessalonians 4 commands Christians to comfort one another with these words many, possibly as high as 80% of all denominational churches do not believe this and other end time prophecies. These churches are known as amillennialists and it is important that you find out what belief system is held by your church.
Mark 4 v 22-23. ‘For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret that it should come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.’ These churches are known as a-millennialists and it is important that you find out what belief system is held by your church.

Amillennialists do not believe that there are prophecies in the bible referring to the end of time as we know it or the end of the age. They do not believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return to reign on earth for a 1000 years and it therefore follows that they do not believe in the rapture of the believers, the antichrist and the great tribulation. Other prophecies amillennialists do not believe in are the seven year peace treaty and the rebuilding of the Jewish temple followed by its desecration. A-millennialists do believe in the redeeming work of Jesus Christ on the cross and through His shed blood they are saved. Perhaps they are saved but will they receive their rewards?

A-millennials believe that we are already in the 1000 year period and that Satan has all ready been bound (if that’s the case, his chain is too long) although exactly when the 1000 year period began, they are unable to say.
The A-millennial belief was first introduced in to the church by Augustine, 300AD approximately who didn’t want to offend the Rome leaders in the Church of Rome by preaching that the Lord Jesus Christ would one day return to reign supreme for 1000 years on Earth.
The Jews had been disbursed to different nations in the world and Israel was occupied by the Palestinians. The name Palestine was given to the land of Israel by the Romans. Augustine felt that if he preached the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, it would concern all leaders since their leadership would be overthrown if Christ reined supreme over the whole world. So it can be clearly seen that Augustine had political reasons for his decision, preferring to please man rather than God.
A-millennialism continues to this day throughout the Roman Catholic Church and was also adopted by the Anglican Church and many other non denominational churches.

In the Old Testament alone, there are many prophecies which refer to the great tribulation, the anti Christ and the return and 1000 year reign of the Lord Jesus Christ. There are also many prophecies in the New Testament including the book of Revelation but when amillennials are questioned about these prophecies, they refer to them as being spiritual or allegorical. The book of Revelation is the only book in the bible to give its reader a blessing at the beginning of the book and at the end of the book warns of a curse befalling those who add or subtract from the book.
Revelation 22 v 18. ‘For I testify to everyone who hears the word s of the prophecy of this book; If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away shall take away his part from the book of life, from the Holy city and from the things which are written in the book.’

Along side a-millennialism is something called replacement theology which is the belief that god has finished with the Jews and that the church has replaced the Jews in God’s favour. This is nothing short of heresy.
John and Sarah Oakes had been attending their local Anglican church for nine years and from time to time wondered why the book of Revelation was never taught in church or in bible studies. Upon questioning the vicar, they discovered that he had strong a-millennial views and replacement theology believes.
Through their own studies of the bible, through Christian radio and TV, they had already learnt a little about end time prophecies and were therefore in a position to point out many of the scriptures relating to this, to their vicar. However, he refused to budge and eventually John and Sarah found a church which held a pre-millennial belief, that all scripture is inspired by God and is inerrant.
We are concerned that since so many denominational churches hold the a-millennial belief, many Christians will not be prepared for end time events such as the great tribulation and that some, weak in their faith because of bad teaching, will be deceived by the antichrist.

Timothy 3 v 1-5. ‘But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanders, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power and from such people turn away!’

Signs of the end of the age

Since 1948 when the state of Israel was re-established but more specifically since 1967 when the Jews recaptured Jerusalem, the likelihood of the Lord Jesus Christ returning to rule over the Earth can literally happen at any time. Jesus told us to look for the signs.

‘Now learn the parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near-at the doors!’ Matthew 24:32-33.

Peace talks are already in place to determine the dividing of Israel between the Jews and the Palestinian and the bible tells that the Jews will be promised a seven year peace treaty but that this will be a false promise of peace. We are also told in Zechariah 12:3 ‘And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone to all peoples; all that would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it’.
Three and a half years into the seven year peace plan, Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles for 42 months and the antichrist will desecrate the newly rebuilt temple.

All of those who have committed their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ will be taken out of the world before the great tribulation begins, some Christians believe this will happen just before the commencement of the first three and a half year period while others believe that it will happen just before the commencement of the second three and a half year period. It is hard to understand why a-millennuimists do not believe in the rapture since first Enoch then Elijah were raptured/translated. If one believes in Genesis 1.1, it should be easy to believe in any other divine supernatural events as prophesied in the scriptures. Just as God saved Noah and seven members of his family from the great flood so the Lord will save those who believe in and follow Him.
The three and a half year period of the great tribulation will be a time more dreadful then any other period of history. Revelation speaks of the persecution of Christians and those Christians who did not commit their lives to the lord until after the rapture will be forced to either take the mark of the beast or they will be beheaded.

Brother/sister, we are deeply concerned that your church may not be teaching you the full counsel of God and we urge you to question your vicar/pastor about this and if he/she will not budge then we urge you to find a church with pre-millennial believe.
In his biography of William Wilberforce, author William Hague reports Wilberforce as saying that he left his Anglican church because he didn’t like the way they had diluted the scriptures.
We believe that the gospel didn’t end with the resurrection and then ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, glorious as this is; we believe that the Gospel continues until following the 1000 year reign of our Lord Jesus Christ, a new heaven and new earth is created.
In 1 Thessalonians 4, Paul constantly urges us to speak of these things and comfort one another with the words given. A spiritual battle is going on intensifying each day and it is far stronger than any of us could imagine. We must stand by the truth, the full counsel of God and if a-millennial church leaders don’t or won’t teach us the full counsel of God, we must study the bible for ourselves.
Listed below are two websites both of which are pre-millennial in their belief:

It is inevitable, if you do have to change your church you will lose a lot of cherished friends as John and Sarah Oakes discovered when they left their church. It is of course a sad loss but John and Sarah agree that it is worth the loss because they have gained so much more in their knowledge of the scriptures.

Stuart (he prefers us not to use his surname) told us that he was surprised when his pastor told him that God had given up on the Jews because of their disobedience to Him and was deeply shocked when the pastor referred to himself as being a Jew, after finding a new church, Stuart was dismayed when people he knew from his previous church avoided him to the point of even crossing the road if they saw him coming.
Romans 11 v 1-12. I say then has God cast away His people? Certainly no! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the scriptures says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, “Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your alters, and I alone am left, and they seek my life?” But what does the divine response say to him? “I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace: otherwise work is no longer work. What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written:
“God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see and ears they should not hear, to this day.”
And Davis says:
“Let their table become a snare and a trap, A stumbling block and a recompense to them. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, and bow their backs always.”
I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealously, salvation has come to the gentiles.
He was accused of following a strange cult even of following Satan but praise God he knows he is on the path to salvation.
Stuart told us that his pastor attempted to confuse him with ‘religious double talk’ using churchy words like dispensationalist and other legalistic jargon. Stuart said “I ignored all this and instead reread the scriptures including all the prophecies. This was my confirmation; I know that God is sovereign, that His word is true and faithful.
My first and foremost loyalty is to the Lord Jesus, how could I continue attending a church which denied His very word?”

Do you know the sovereignty of God?

Knowing the sovereignty of God is crucial in our understanding of the scriptures.
The bible tells us that with God nothing is impossible
‘For with God nothing will be impossible’ Luke 1:37
However there are something’s that God cannot do because of His very nature.
He cannot lie. He cannot go back on a promise. He cannot change His mind.
The Lord God is wholly good, he is wholly faithful, He is wholly just and these are just a few of His sovereign qualities.

Does God expect us to bark like dogs and roar like lions?

Matthew 24 v 23 and 24. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘there!’ do not believe it. For false Christ’s and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.’

There are many other biblically unsound churches springing up everywhere. The ‘emerging church’ sometimes known us the expericanal church appears to be combining mystism, paganism with just a sprinkling of Holy scriptures thrown in but often used out of context.
The faith of the ‘experiencal church’ seems to be dependant on experiencing miracles to increase their faith in God. When Thomas, the only disciple who had not seen the risen Christ disbelieved the other disciples account of seeing the risen Lord, he was admonished by Jesus who appeared before Thomas and all the disciples, eight days later. Jesus said to Thomas John 20 v 29. Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

Revelation 3:16. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing-and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked-I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eve salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the churches.
